    报告人简介:
Peiqi Yang is a postdoctoral researcher in Faculty of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), University of Twente. He obtained his PhD degree on 'remote sensing of vegetation functioning' from University of Twente, and his B.Eng. Degree on geodesy and geomatics engineering from Wuhan University and M.Sc. degree from Beijing Normal University.  His primary research interest is the understanding and modelling of plant-climate interaction via photosynthetic and hydrologic processes, including radiative transfer modelling, sun-induced chlorophyll fluorescence and applications of data assimilation.
    主要内容:
Reflectance and sun-included chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) have been used as indicators of global terrestrial vegetation photosynthesis to improve estimates of gross primary production (GPP) and monitor plant stress. However, the connections between reflectance, SIF and photosynthesis are not well understood, which limits our ability to monitor vegetation physiology from space. Combined radiative transfer and plant photosynthesis modelling is a promising way to investigate their connection and to develop remote sensing techniques. The SCOPE (Soil-Canopy-Observation of Photosynthesis and Energy fluxes) model simulates the radiative transfer of incident light and emitted SIF and thermal radiation and calculates temperatures, photosynthesis and turbulent heat exchange. After an introduction of the vegetation modelling activities conducted by our group, this talk will show some achievements in the mechanistic interpretation of remote sensing signals, including hyperspectral reflectance and SIF observations.
